I am a Research Fellow in the School of Psychology and in the Discipline of Addiction Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney. I carry out research in the fields of public health and substance abuse. With a background in evolutionary biology, my current interests include the endocannabinoid system and the overlap between biology and psychiatry. My recent work has focused on understanding cannabis dependence and withdrawal and the development of treatment interventions. I am interested in exploring the benefits of manipulating the endocannabinoid system for medicinal uses, and in how evolution can add to our understanding of medical problems. Please see the recruitment materials to the right for two current research studies that I am involved with. We are currently recruiting to these studies. Please pass this information on to anybody who you think might be interested.
